We're on a mission to bridge generations and ignite passion for Aboriginal culture. In a world that moves fast, we slow down to honor the ancient knowledge of Country—teaching skills passed down through millennia, from the resonant call of the didgeridoo to the rhythmic heartbeat of clap sticks. By partnering with local schools and community groups in the Hunter Valley, we aim to build stronger, more inclusive futures where Indigenous voices lead the way.

We collaborate closely with Budbudda Dreaming, a respected cultural organization, to deliver immersive, hands-on programs that connect communities and schools with the living heritage of First Nations peoples. Through storytelling, craftsmanship, and music, we empower participants—especially young people—to engage deeply with Aboriginal traditions, fostering respect, creativity, and cultural continuity.
Our programs celebrate the artistry and spirituality of Aboriginal practices, tailored for all ages but with special focus on empowering boys and men through music and mentorship. Here's what we offer:
Didgeridoo Making and Playing
Dive into the sacred art of crafting and playing the didgeridoo (yidaki). Participants learn traditional techniques using local materials, then master breathing and circular techniques under the guidance of knowledgeable elders. These sessions are designed for boys and men, creating spaces for cultural transmission, confidence-building, and connection to Country.
Clap Sticks and Ornaments Workshop
Feel the pulse of ceremony by carving and decorating clap sticks (bimil/birrbay), essential instruments in song lines and dance. We also create intricate ornaments inspired by Dreamtime stories—perfect for schools to integrate into art curricula, blending creativity with cultural education.
Community and School Immersions
From half-day school visits to full-day community events, our programs adapt to your needs. Held in the stunning landscapes of the Hunter Valley, they include yarning circles, bush tucker insights, and live demonstrations, ensuring every participant leaves with new skills and a deeper appreciation for Aboriginal resilience.
Since joining forces with Budbudda Dreaming, Fuji Indigenous has woven culture into the fabric of Hunter Valley life:
